The Melbourne Cup is Australia's most famous annual Thoroughbred horse race. It's considered one of Melbourne's most exciting yearly events.

Like anything fun these days, protesters want to shut it down.

So, I went to find out why.

I engaged in some rare and respectful discussion, even meeting an old friend on the other side.

Until I was officially moved on by Police for "I don't know why".
