I love passive income with Defi, and often I find myself dreaming about being a couple of months forward in time to see all the profit I have made and just be happy about it. But, do you know what I have discovered? The more I live in tomorrow and in the future, the less productive I will be today. If I just keep looking at the charts, I will be distracted, and I will not get anything done.
That is why I believe this quote from John Maxwell (I believe he is the one who said this) is helping me a lot to keep the focus right and to make sure that I will get things done today.
If you’re always thinking about tomorrow, then you’ll never get anything done today.
It is okay that you build for the future and you build today so that you can be rich and wealthy and prosper tomorrow. But in the midst of this, we cannot let it lead to passiveness in today. We need to be active today, we need to work today, we need to focus today, and the effect of this will be a success tomorrow.
I have just approached the topic from a Defi and passive income perspective, but there are so many other ways to approach this quote and to understand it. If you always procrastinate and say that you will do things later (tomorrow), then nothing will happen today. The thing about tomorrow is that it will never come, because tomorrow the word tomorrow will mean the day after tomorrow. So, tomorrow is just running in front of you and you are never able to reach it.
