Want to know your STEEM POWER?

in tools •  7 years ago

Hello fellow Steempeeps. Ya know, it took me awhile to understand what Steem Power was, how it was acquired, and most of all, how to find out how much I actually had. I came across this fantastic tool I would like to share with everyone! Hopefully you find it as useful as I have. It's called Steem Now and can be found at SteemNow.com. The green circled numbers in the pictures have explanations below :)

Steem Now Steemit Enginewitty tools.png

  1. This is your username and current reputation.
  2. This slider bar will tell you how much any percentage of your upvote is worth. The bar can be toggled in 1% increments.
  3. This box shows your current rewards for the day and yesterday.
  4. This small graph icon will bring up the graph below the smaller boxes to reveal your curation rewards over the past 24 hours.
  5. This box is where you enter your @ username and can even change the style of the SteemNow tool.
  6. This is your current voting or Steem Power.

I hope this helps people as I know it helps me. There are posts I come across that deserve more attention and so I want to give them a strong 'vote of confidence' and be assured my upvote does them some good. Happy Steeming!

Thanks lot for this beautiful tool!!

Absolutely @sam19! I bookmarked it for future reference :P

I'm trying to get my head around this tool and it's kinda tricky so thanks for this explainer. It helps.

Glad it helped friend :)

Thanks, this is pretty useful. I think the slider is showing your vote worth based on your current voting power. In other words, I think as your voting power changes so will the value on the slider.

That is a good comment! I honestly don't know. I found this today and had to share it.

That's what I'm guessing because it showed my vote worth at about half of what it is really worth when my voting power is up to 100%. My voting power at the time was just over 50% at the time.

I believe you are right @michaeldavid!

Mine is up and down like a YoYo. But I'll get on with trying to figure it out.

It regains power after awhile, which could explain the diversity.

Yeah, it's been a bit low for a while so I'm just going to let it build up some more.

How (or why) does the voting power changes?

It depends on how much steem power you have and the number of votes that you do per day. The closer together your votes are in time the faster your voting power falls. Like if you vote 10 times in 5 minutes then your last votes will have much less power. You can vote as much as you like though and they still count but just not so much.

Awesome

@razux

Thanks! I like it
