Had a Ubiquiti USG-3 prior to getting this device. My USG would run at 100% CPU and ping response time would get up north of 1500MS when running a VPN tunnel through the firewall. I installed PfSense on The Vault and ran the same tests. This firewall runs at 6% CPU MAX when running the same tests. So far I am very pleased with the performance. Will update as I turn more features on.There was a screw loose in the case when I unbloxed it, but that was quickly fixed without issue.

This works very well for one of my customers. I loaded pfSense onto it. The manufacturer has a very well documented install guide on their Web site that walks through step-by-step how to load pfSense on it. The one thing I worry about is how warm it gets without a fan. The server room I put it in doesn't have a lot of air flow, so it is about 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and without something moving the air past the fins, I worry that the CPU will get too hot and die. I got a small clamp-on fan that I put onto the rack rails and have it pointed directly at the top of the unit, and it cooled everything down very quickly to a nice room temperature. The whole idea for going without the fan is to reduce Watts used, but now that I have a fan running all the time, that defeats the power savings idea. I would say that if you have a low ambient temperature (less than 75F), you will probably not need the external fan.

It is hard to imagine this device pushing packets higher than 1Gbps because the web UI of PFsense is slow on this hardware despite being solid state storage. So far it works ok but for the price of over $300, I expect a hell of a lot better performance. On the positive side it is absolutely quiet and doesn’t generate much heat. I love the 4 NICs in such a small footprint. This was the best priced device I could run PFsense on which was completely solid state. For that I am thankful but it would be nice to do this for at or under $200 or with a lot better performance. I will try to upgrade RAM later and see if this aids the web UI response times.

We really like the ease of setup and use of the Inspiron 27" 7790. It's slimmer than our older XPS 2710, but packed with features the family likes. The keyboard and mouse it comes with feel really cheap and often need to be turned off and back on in order to connect to the machine when left alone. We ended up purchasing a new keyboard and mouse combo that connects to multiple devices so we can switch back and forth with work and home systems and have a single keyboard. It's a Dell unit as well. (LP KM717) Great addition for sure. The other item that is a little odd is that you are not able to wall mount this one as you could do with the AIO units in the past. The only option I suppose is a elevated stand or wall shelf which would look strange. That is a big miss for me given that many people look to wall mount these to save desk space.Overall, it's a great unit and worth the $$. Super easy to update as well. I added a second SSD in the unit for more storage and it literally took less than 10 mins. AWESOME!

The only downside is the speaker. If you try to talk on the phone using the computer app, the speakers pop and you can't understand what the caller is saying. I enjoyed the ease of set-up and the speed of running apps. The screen is large and clear and the unit is heavy enough I don't worry about it tipping over. The keyboard comes with a number pad which makes my work as a teacher entering grades a breeze.

I just bought this mini pc- router 2 weeks ago for my office , and after 2 weeks of use this is my opinion:First of all , it's not only mini pc like all,  its also Router with 6 lan slots and firewall , and this why i chose this mini pc .In addition,  it Fanless- thats means- very quiet pc and 0 noiseThe specification are very good for these computers: Intel celeron 3865U +8Gb ram + 128 ssd , and i use with graphics softwares like photoshop , illustrator and premiere at the same time without any problems or lags,It come without OS but i purchased Win10 Home ( Win 11 upgradeable) for only 12$ and the installation take only 5mins .I think its very good solution for office and industrial,  and its not take lot of space.More technical details  : 4×USB3.0 slots , VGA, HDMI ,Com1, and 6(!!) Lan slotsVery recommended!

It's nice and quiet and seems fast for its size, it boots in about 40 seconds. I mainly use it to backup photos, stream video on TV and downloading, it simply transforms my TV into an all-in-one media center for much less power usage.

It's a good little computer for its assigned job (NGFW). Fanless makes me very happy, and RJ45s in front that don't need crossover cables are even better. So far so good with Gentoo. Only had it about a week and will edit this review as needed as the years pass. Expecting the only problem will be the power adapter at some point. My ambient is room temperature-- with an over-achieving HVAC so your results may vary, but this thing doesn't seem to care even when I drown it in parallel jobs. Mostly cool to the touch, and so far no issues with the Hoodisk they include.Full kernel builds (5.10.x) are 15-35 minutes depending on your make args, so I hope you have a xcompiler available. Here's something to spare you some of that but make sure you click like:RTL8187=y (wlan, but might be iffy so choose all the Realteks and sort it yourself)CONFIG_DRM_I915=y (gpu)CONFIG_IGB=y (lan)Gentoo users, this is a Kaby Lake that does *not* work with -march=skylake so stick with -march=native.Like it much better than the AWOW box I bought last year, primarily due to fanless nature. AWOW box would've made a nice desktop NGFW but the embedded fans mean I'll be soldering to keep it alive over the years. This one seems a better choice for longevity.

Tiny, efficient, and works well so far. Product is as-advertised. Be aware that you will need a usb mouse and keyboard to install windows.Very happy with this purchase

For the price this computer absolutely exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier with this purchase. This is a great computer for a home entertainment system. It streams 4k video flawlessly. Navigating menus with a mouse and keyboard is so much better than any of "smart" TVs I've owned. It is very quick and responsive. That and I can monitor my surveillance cameras, have Zoom meetings, play Spotify, or do anything else I might do on a computer. You can play games on this PC but you will not get the great frame rates that you would get from a full gaming PC. You will need to turn down the resolution to get the responsiveness you might want. The refresh rate on TVs is not nearly as good as a gaming monitor anyway. If you stick to older games it will be fine. I absolutely think this computer is better than you might expect at this price.

I have used quite a few different models of Kingdel computers. They are very well built - I have not had a single problem. I discovered during a routine scan that one off the computers had malware and pups installed on it. I checked the prior ones and found the same thing. I stopped using them for a while but could not find a replacement product as good. As a result I started buying them again but taking remedial actions. As soon as I receive them, before even connecting to the internet, I run a malware scan, create a new admin account, delete the pre-loaded "kingdel" admin account and all related files and uninstall any software loaded (generally an old version of office). I've never had a problem after that. Provided you are aware of the issues and willing to take precautions the hardware is great. I have not had any issues with the installed OS.

I have this as a remote unit for my telescope. It allows me to sit in my (warm or cool) living room while my equipment is outside in extreme temperatures. Runs on 12V battery and accessible with Remote Desktop either adhoc or through my network. Runs all my software amazingly. Love that it is fanless so I don't have to worry about dew and dust impeding operation. Nice to have the serial ports too as it gets rid of adapters.Only wish was that the Wi-Fi card was a little better with higher gain antennae as it seems a little laggy with RDP. Was great as I could actually see the screen to focus when setup for solar viewing. A great upgrade over my long USB2 cables. Hoping to try it out for fast USB3 captures when the clouds clear (Murphy's Law).Brett @ Kingdell provided great follow up and I am very satisfied. Arrived well packaged and safe (signature required) within just a few days to a US address (can't speak for others around the world).

It's perfect for use in my Semi truck. Easily mounted, hooks up to my LED tv with an hdmi cable. Also purchased a wireless keyboard and mouse. No other computer would of works so well for a trucker
