As you may already know, I had a super gastronomical week in Budapest in which I got the chance to visit many nice Restaurants and food boutiques. In this post I want to show you a place that impressed my taste buds strongly, the Tortamühely Cafe in the Iskola street 34. Before I say some words about the cakes, I have to tell you that im not a big fan of cakes and sweets and that is the reason why I was so surprised by this place. As I was with an old friend of mine, I had the possibility of trying two different cakes: The one that I orderes was a salted Caramel Fudge Cheesecake with a smooth and slightly burned aftertaste (because of the caramel). My friends cake was very rich and soft with Champagne and Peaches as the main protagonists, a little bit like a "tarte Dacquoise" influenced by modern baking techniques.
If you are a person who loves pastry and is heading to Budapest in the next weeks this is a place that you can definetely not miss, really recommended!
