How to install a delta kitchen faucet.

What is delta kitchen faucet? Delta faucet company, a US-based company that is well known and well-loved in the faucet industry.

While most of the delta kitchen faucet installation are straight forward. You still need a guide if you are new to the scene.

Preparation:


You need the right tools and accessories before you begin your faucet installation.
Manage an adjustable wrench, a screwdriver, and one allen wrench.

Remove the old faucet:


You need to remove the old faucet before you can even think of installing the new one.
You can remove the old faucet in some simple steps.
Step 1: Stop the water supply.
Step 2: Go underneath the sink start to unscrew the mounting bracket.
Step 3: Unscrew the supply lines and remove the mounting bracket nut.
Step 4: If you have done the previous steps correctly then you can easily pull out the water spraying hose from the top of the sink.

Step 5: Clean any left residue on the sink.


Install gasket if necessary:
If your faucet is a single hole faucet but your sink has a 3 hole setup. Then you need to install a gasket. Your faucet will come with a rubber or plastic gasket. Just install that and put the deck.

Install the hose:


If your faucet is a pull-down kitchen faucet. Then simply feed all the flexible hose cable through the hole. Pull them down from underneath the sink.

Mount the faucet:


If your faucet needs gasket and you installed it. Move underneath the sink.
Thread the mounting bracket on to the shank. Not to hard not lightly either. Make sure the larger side of the nut is facing upwards.
Your supply lines should fit inside the mount bracket just fine.

Align faucet and gasket:


Make sure your faucet and gasket are facing the right direction.
If they are screw in the mounting nut under the sink and make sure you don't over-tighten it.

Attach the supply lines:

Each of your supply lines should have a color code in them. Red for hot and blue for cold water.
Attach the supply lines in the corresponding water supply.
Make sure to thread them in perfectly. Don't overtighten them.
After installing the pipelines turn on the water supply. And see if any leak occurs. If there is no leak you are good to go. But if there is fix the leak by tightening the thread or use plumber's tape if necessary.

Flush the faucet:


The last step in the installation process is to flush the delta kitchen faucet. Make sure there is no debris inside the faucet.
If the faucet has an aerator installed in it remove that before flashing.
After 2-3min of flashing re-install the aerator and you are good to go.

That's it.
