Bern is the capital of Switzerland, a country in Central Europe that has a tremendous beauty. Bern is derived from German which means "bear" and this bear becomes a symbol of the city of Bern.
The city of bern has many ancient buildings dating from the 1100-1700s.
One of the buildings is the Gothic-style Bern Cathedral built in the 1400s. The cathedral has a towering tower.
Some other sites are government buildings, and the remains of the old city gates
