Touting is simply "pushing and promoting" of a public serviceimg_0644.jpg vehicle
I've always wanted a job as one of those people who reads a newspaper in a matatu(bus) waiting for it to fill and then getting out to go into the next one when only 2 seats remain.
Top job! There is a name for that kind of job in Kenya (Touting)
Touting its where you will sit in a passenger vehicle with the intentions of making the passengers think the matatu is almost full to capacity then alighting when like two sits remain and you part with a few coins for the job done.
A tout can best referred to a person calling for passengers to board a matatu of which the conductor remits some few coins to the tout.
THE TRAFFIC ACT OF KENYA outlines Touting-as criminal offense that is punishable by a 500 dollars fine or a 12 month jail term.
the law states that no person shall, for the purpose of obtaing any passengers for a public service vehicle, make any noise or sound any instruments, or do anything which is causes or likely to cause any annoyance, inconvenience or danger to the public.
