English: When I watch action films, I sit on the edge of my seat.

Let's see if I understand the Turkish sentence correctly:

Aksiyon filmleri izlerken, hop oturup hop kalkarım.

While watching action movies, I keep sitting and standing up.

I don't know what “hop” means, but I think it has something to do with repetition or abruptness of the act.

“izlerken” – “while watching”

“oturup” – the “-up” is because there are two verbs, and the second one determines the right person and tense: “kalkarım” – “I get up”.

Hop oturup hop kalkmak means in this sentence; you are on alert everytime :) Unexpected event can be happen suddenly :)
