Thanks for the detailed explanation; it helped me a lot. I've been farming for a long time and only recently learned some specifics on this forum. It's a doable job if you have the right equipment that can support the weight of the halves. If you still have as much money, you can buy yourself an already used tractor in excellent condition. If I had known about https://www.machinerydealer.co.uk earlier, I wouldn't have spent the money on repairs. I would have bought myself a new tractor in excellent condition.
