πŸ“‰ STEEM Investor Report 15 March 2017

Trading Recommendation:

Except high volatility, look for trades on 15 minute overextensions

Investment Recommendation:

Hard to make a recommendation here, leadership shake ups tend to drive initial price drops and then either a recover or further drop if the shareholders accept or reject the replacement. I'm holding and may purchase more STEEM if the price collapses to a level below $0.06.

Analyst Commentary:

The STEEM price fell a significant 13.65% verse the USD over the past 24 hours on even higher volume than yesterday on rough news for the STEEM community. For those that have not seen the news, @Dan is resigning. Key leader shakeups in organizations generally lead to very volatile price movements as the shareholders agree or disagree with the secession plan and future plans of the company/platform. These times represent great times for investing if you believe in the vision of the remaining leaders or a time to exit if you think the loss was irreplaceable. Because I have view all of my cryptocurrency investments as speculative and did't invest any more than I could handle losing tomorrow, I'll be holding here and possibly investing more if the price of STEEM drops significant and @ned reinforces the 2017 roadmap vision. If you are heavily invested in STEEM with money you need, this may be time to take some off the table.

For those of us who are planning to stay and help develop the platform, now is the time to help find a suitable CTO to push STEEM ahead. I'll be watching the developments and proving daily updates, please upvote and follow. Until I know more, I will look for opportunities to trade the price swings ... if only I didn't work 12 hours a day.

As if the platform needed more disruption! Sad to see Dan go, but his vision didn't mesh with Ned's. It's going to be interesting to see how the community responds. I still think it's a great concept, but they have retain our confidence.

I'm some will be powering down, so the price is likely to drop again.

I agree, I see the price dropping over the next week or two unless Ned is able to bring on a rockstar CTO.

I don't see how the price can survive if Dan powers down and dumps every week for the next three months.

I bought at $1.

Whoops.

Dan has about 2% of the money supply of STEEM in the accounts @dan and @dantheman so its not the end of the world from that respect.
What I find strange is that he is powering down so much. Even Satoshi didnt move a lot of his early bitcoins yet.

why do you say he is powering down so much? I think he just started the process recently. considering he is leaving, it is logical that he has less confidence, comparatively, in steem's long term success. To reduce his position in this assent, at least partly, should be quite natural. Just my 2 cents.

I am not judging his decision to power down.

Looking at this account he has started powering down from both accounts about 15 hours ago, I didnt do the calcs but it seems from what people are saying he is powering it all down.
My comment only meant to reflect that by the lead developer taking his cash and going, means the future of the platform may be put in jeopardy and I doubt that any creator would wish ill will on such a wonderful creation even if its going in a different direction that he was hoping. If he had kept his STEEM in the system then maybe it would be a vote of confidence. Thats all. I do wish him well though and thank him for what he has created.

Oh, that I don't know, about others' saying - btw I am not challenging your comment as well, just curious why you know he will sell all the way before it happens.

Haha I bought waaay higher, bag holder for life :S good times....

Sorry to hear that. :(

for the record, he will be powering down at earlier rate (2 years). that's what he said. still a lot of steems though.

Ah, good to know. Thanks.

glad to see you feel better I suppose? :)

I'm not a witness because I'm the co-founder of foxycart with plenty to keep me busy. I've certainly considered it, but I'm not a fan of server infrastructure (I'm a programmer), so I'd have to rely on others to keep things going.

Better than I did last night? Yes. Better than I have pretty much at any point in the last 9 months concerning Steemit? Not really.

Sigh. Still so discouraged about this. It didn't have to be this way.

question for you: I don't recall that you are a witness, or are you? if you are not, why not? you seem to fit the criteria ... (is it obvious that I am trying to distract you?... )
