Trains of thought don’t always run on schedule.

After a long wait, the day was finally here. I have known this guy since we were kids. We lived in the same neighborhood and went to the same school.

Our parents were close friends, and that is how we also became friends. As children, we would spend most of our time together.

We used to go for sleepovers at each other’s house.After we completed high school, we were called to different colleges;

this means that we could no longer hang out like we used to, but that did not affect our friendship.

We still kept in touch and talked like we used to. Also, we used to visit each other from time to time whenever we were free or on holiday.

However, after covid-19 struck, none of us could travel because there was a restriction of movement in most cities in the country.

We kept talking whenever we could, keeping each other from boredom and hoping things will get better soon.

Also, I happened to get an internship at a health facility near my school; this means I was pretty busy most of the day.
Months later,

the lockdownwas eased, and movement in and out of cities was allowed. Because I have a tight schedule, I invited my friend over to my place.

I was so excited to see him. He had to travel via train because flying was way out of our budget. However, he did not mind; what mattered is that he arrives safely.

After work, I went to the train station to wait for him, and I was right in time as he had just arrived. We went to grab a meal as we head home.

We had so much to talk about. I told him about my photography adventure and how excited I was to show him all the pictures I had taken.

He was to stay with me for a week the go back because he had a job interview to go to.We spent some quality time and relieved most of our childhood memories.
