New recruitment window DaVinci.witness/Utopian.io Translators is NOW on! Dutch and other translators and LM's!

in translators •  6 years ago

As some of you may know, since the @DaVinci.witness and @Utopian-io collaboration, there is yet again an active team of translators. But the work is never done and for that, there is a need for translators and LM's.
This recruitment window is going to be from today 24th of August until the 29th of August.

We're particularly hoping to fill these positions:

4 translators for the Dutch team
4 translators for the Slovenian team
The teams Spanish, German, Greek, Italian and Chinese also need additional translators.
If your language is not among the ones mentioned above please do not be discouraged, we invite you to apply anyway.

I am the LM for the Dutch language and at the moment our 'team' only consists of 1 translator. He is brilliant, but there is just not much of a team with just two :) So please, if you love languages, would like to help get all kinds of important work translated for this awesome project and make some Steem along the way, don't hesitate to apply.

How to apply

  • Write a short post with text in both your mother language as the English language. Make this long enough to show your abilities, but it doesn't need to be a book either.

  • Make two voice recordings. Again, one in your mother tongue and one in English.
For this you can upload your voice recording to Soundcloud or similar and drop the link in your post.
Of course, you can also post a video. It's up to you.

  • When you're ready you can post this to your blog, make sure to use the #davinci-application tag as your first tag so your application will be easy to find.

  • Please share the link to your application in the DaVinci.Witness Project Discord channel under #job-application

I hope to see a few Dutchies this time!

Well, I remember being in the discord channel a while ago, and leaving it because I read about the voice recordings. Not that I have a problem with making voice recordings for an application, but I do have a problem with that being online somewhere. As you know I value my anonymity due to various reasons. Can you check if I can send the link to voice recordings in private via discord, instead of in a post? I would appreciate it so much if you would do that, because I was thrilled to apply last round too. But I can't lose my anonymity for this..

Thanks!

I think you could best approach one of the Community Language Moderators on the Davinci Discord for that, because I'm not exactly sure who's the person who checks the voice recordings for verification.

I'm going to ask them and get back to you about it. I personally don't see any issues.

See you in Poland at the Steemfest³ again @misslasvegas?

You know I HAVE to go! See you in Poland @future24 :)
