I actually didn't know that Bangkok has two airports! Had it not been for the nice chap from Yorkshire who was on the long haul flight from London with me I might have not realised and maybe I would have missed my 2nd flight.
However I got the information with plenty of time to catch the connecting bus over to Don Muang for my connection!
My brief view of the city with its many towering buildings reminded me of Mumbai where in had been five years before.
Spent some time hanging out with the Yorkshire man who kindly got my a green tea in McDonald's unfortunately it had milk in it so I had to pass (never heard of green tea with milk #welcometoaisa)
I had though about letting the Yorkshireman know I was vegan when he mentioned McDonald's but I thought, why can't a vegan sit at a mcds and eat his quinoa salad from home will his newly made friend eats a double Mac.
The flight to PP was smooth and easy, I feel asleep just before takeoff and woke to be surprised we where flying. . . Oh those g forces where not just my dream!
Had a great conversation after that with a Norwegian who was seeking a calm beach after some time at a party town. We spoke about brexit of course, I did not know Norway is not part of Europe but citizens can live and work around Europe. Interesting!
Landed, HOT, visa, forgot my photo for it 3 dollars it cost me for that mistake.
Exchanged some dollars for the local Reil 3996.5 I'm rich!!
Got a sim card and now I'm connected and letting of steam and popping out the odd instagram story abelartist on there 😉
I shared a taxi with two french girls who are also on a big trip (one year) i speak French to them they correct my grammar and practice English with me it's great. They are from New Caledonia I had no idea that place exited ! They will also travel to Sihanoukville tomorrow I got myself some travel buddies, brilliant.
I'm amazed at how easily I have found lovely people who have made the journey feel comfortable, it's like I'm not traveling alone, well because I'm not!
It's been a long day and the jet lag is setting in hard I must sleep now. . .
