Otres village is this little road lined with bars, restaurants, guesthouse all sorts. It's a town in its infancy, less than five years ago most of the area was lakes and marche land.
The draw to come and build homes and business here is that there is next to no regulations. People from all over are jumping in the race to offer the best Venu, menu, bar and board.
There are British, French, Italian's, Aussie's and kiwi's and the Chinese. . . Bamboo structure and eco builds are all sitting alongside each other in a higgledy and pigeldy way.
There are relatively laid back days and busy party nights here. there is a steady stream of backpacking visitors, it has the feeling of a festival, lots of spots to eat, chill, dance.
People come here and make some friends and many stay for longer than they planned, you can find a job to cover your room or more. It's a nice atmosphere and friendly people.
Just a couple minutes walk brings you onto the beach. Beautiful clean sand and water, a long stretch with two sides that have business if you walk down in ether direction.
could this be what is driving the explosion of otres village . . . It's also close to the trail people are on to see the island.
These guys had stopped to see my headstand.
The beach is beautiful and the sunsets are stunning!
I've been down to the beach everyday since I arrived and have started a handstand class there, it's been great and I already met some really nice people who where keen students!
I'm now working and living at Stray Cats, it's a run by half french (Woody) and half English (Yolanda) managers. They have music jams twice a week and do a brilliant vegan breakfast!
