My ancestor was Myles standish a millitary officer from england who joined the plymouth colony and has inspired me to join the merchant marines and get my captains license to eventually work on super yachts. Tongue point also works with the union as students who qualify by not making enough income or some that dont graduate can earn their ged and high school diploma as they are learning a trade. How i joined was first going to an orientation and the center didnt have my trade so i talked to my career councilor and she said i needed medical and diploma even shot records and school transcripts to help get me accepted then i wait as she does presentation like thing sending my file to the job corp and if accepted they even plane or bus me out to tongue point where the trade i want is at. they even work with the unions to make sure you get the training and jobs available.
a seaman gets an average 33k a year if i get my captains its 64k plus based on experience. Here are the courses type and location of the center enjoy. the boat as well that togue point uses is ironwood. I also dont own the images got them from google of the vetaran ironwood celebration the center is also surrounded by trees and sorry about posting the same image twice getting better at this thanks again.
