In your post you mentioned sharks. And I remembered how in many television programs they say that they are very dangerous and are pitched. I want to say that I do not quite agree with this. Sharks do not always attack people.

Of all the diversity of sharks, only 3% are a threat to humans. The most dangerous sharks are: large white, tiger and gray bull shark.

The rest are either not dangerous for a person or an attack on a person is unlikely.

First of all, such can be attributed to deep-sea sharks, which do not rise when they come to the surface of water visited by humans.

I want to give some facts about sharks. I think you will be interested.

The shark has upper and lower eyelids, but they do not blink.

The shark can swim at a speed of 40 miles per hour.

The most harmless sharks, as a rule, are the largest.

There are 370 species of sharks.

Some sharks at risk dive eight.

The shark exists about 400 million years ago.

The shark bites first with the lower jaw, then with the upper jaw.

Some sharks eat other sharks.

The skin of an adult female blue shark is more than twice as thick as that of males.

The wounds of sharks heal quickly and practically do not swell.

The shark for life can be replaced by up to 20,000 (!!!) teeth.

Almost all sharks are predators and "meat eaters."

A large white shark can do without food for three months.

Large white sharks can eat any other creature in the ocean.

A large white shark eats prey and immediately begins to look for a new one.

A large white shark can not get cancer.

Little is known about the mating of large white sharks, but it is known that at one time
They can produce from 5 to 10 sharks.

Nobody knows the maximum age to which large white sharks live. Under the assumptions - up to 40 years.

Most large white sharks die in captivity in 10-15 days.

There is a case when in San Francisco the female of the big white shark was in captivity
200 days, before it was released to freedom.

A large white shark is an endangered species.

Today, people kill sharks per year more than in the history of mankind.

Florida is the record holder for shark attacks on humans.

Thanks for the detailed information about sharks, that was really good. 😊

Looks like you've been to Cebu in the Philippines

Thanks Alex for this reply, people need to know why sharks are so important for biological balance! (and that they are not human killer, also if they killed humans it's because we destroy their "world"). I think you are a big fan of Paul Watson and his work, so welcome to the fight!!!!
