Recently my wife and I went on the trip of a lifetime to Italy and one of the highlights was an amazing tour in Florence (Firenze) where we had the opportunity to drive vintage Fiats in the Tuscan countryside and visit some wine.

Part 1: starting the tour
Once we got to the meeting point outside the city we met our excellent guide Nicko who gave us a quick primer on the cars. The 70's Fiats were a little tricky but luckily they were not double clutch and I'm pretty good at driving stick shift!

Part 2: vineyards
After driving about an hour outside Florence we stopped a few times to learn about the region and about the amazing wine. We learned the qualifications for Chianti Classico, the regional specialty for Florence.

Part 3: The wine cellars!!!
My personal favorite part of the tour was going in the cellars to see how the wine was made and the millions of liters for delicious wine. Between the engaging learning about the regional wine specialties, and the VERY generous pours of of the wines we had an excellent time.

After all the touring and wine it was just a short trip back to Florence for yet another amazing dinner and evening. Overall I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone thinking of traveling in the Florence area!
