We woke up at 7:00 in the morning to prepare for our weekend adventure. The sunrise warmly greeted us.
We were headed to a forest area which was above the famous Bulgarian mountain tourist villages - Kovatchevitsa and Leshten.
In the past, the road used to be in a terrible shape but nowadays a side path has been created up the mountain which is easier to traverse. The mountain air is fresh and the surrounding environment is a striking opposite from the urban areas.
The trip lasted for almost 2 hours and at the end the really tough part showed itself as the road became steeper and full with rocks.
This is why many people avoid coming to this area, to prevent their cars from suffering. It is a bit difficult to see from the photo but believe us, one wrong movement and you can wreck your car.
But at the end we safely arrived. We will follow up with Chapter II of our Weekend and some more photos we took from this trip.
