Hello Steemers!

So yesterday was raining, and fog made it hard to see, so i thought to my self, can i get a better day to go see a medieval castle? Of course not! So of to Guarda i went to see for myself that winter is coming.

Guarda is the biggest city in a region the have the same name in the mountains of the middle of Portugal and today have about 26,000 residents. The city is is standing since the days of the Roman empire, and was developed greatly thanks to Sancho I of Portugal (1185-1211) that made financials changes that allowed the region in general and the city in specific the blossom. The City is the highest altitude city at just over 1000 meters, and at 1,056.3 meters above sea level, in the most dominated point the area the castle of Guarda is located.

The contractions of the castle was believed to begin during the reign of Sancho I of Portugal (1185-1211), but the credit for finally completing the task was given to João I of Portugal (1385-1433).
