Masjid Quba is the first mosque built in Islamic historical civilization on 8 Rabiul Awal 1 Hijriah. The mosque is located outside the city of Madinah (Medina) precisely about 5 kilometers southeast of Madinah. The current Quba mosque is different from the Quba mosque at the time of Rasulullah SAW, the Quba mosque which currently stands is a mosque that has been renovated and expanded during the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This renovation and expansion cost 90 million riyals with a capacity of up to 20,000 pilgrims. Renovation was done in 1986.
In ancient times when it was built, this mosque stands on a date garden with an area of 1200 square meters, and currently the area of Quba mosque is about 5,035 square meters. Currently this mosque has 19 doors with 3 main doors to enter the worshipers into the mosque. The two doors are dedicated to entering the male congregation while the other one is the entrance of the female worshipers. Across from the main room of the mosque, there is a room which is used as a place to learn to teach.
