I love the ocean, with the ebb and flow of the tides. I grew up in a seaside town in Connecticut and never tire of the sound of the waves, beating their repetitive rhythm!

Oh no, this is west France, in Vendée (I should have written it, ...will edit my post ;-) )
In south France it's the sea, the Mediterrannée, and there are no tides like with the ocean...I love ocean, but I rather prefer to go to Brittany than Vendée, but this is just side by side on the west coast

Et oui, ton post m'a donnée envie de m'y rendre et j'ai déjà fait des recherches et vu qu'il y a des emplacements camping car en abondance. There is a beach "Praia da Vieira" that is well known by many Frenchs during Summer and that usually have that iodized air. Is one of my youth beaches, so it brings me good memories :)
