I’m Ben, originally from Poland, and I’ve spent the last 14 years in Ireland (half of my life). After working at Aldi (a supermarket) for 5 years, I made the decision to leave my job and start traveling. Since I’m not great at saving money, hitchhiking was my only option. I chose to buy the cheapest plane ticket to Turkey, regardless of the destination, and planned to hitchhike from there to the Canary Islands. You could say I’m an optimist ;D
The most affordable flight at the time was to Dalaman, so Dalaman it was. I packed my backpack, headed to the airport, and didn’t really know where I was going next. But just the feeling of landing in Turkey and taking things from there was incredible.
I won’t reveal where I am right now, but I’ll share it in a future post where I’ll go more in-depth about my travels. I’ll share my experiences, and maybe you’ll learn from my mistakes—probably what not to do while traveling ;p. I don’t think I’m too bad at it, but I’ll leave that up to you to decide.
