Travel and Cryptocurrency = Travelchain

I have never had a “desk job” and always had the opportunity to work from home. I have been nomadic and traveled while I worked now for over 12 years. Before my favorite three platforms -Airbnb, VRBO and Yelp came out, traveling in general was much more difficult. Hard cover trip advisor books were a necessity if you wanted to find good accommodations, food and entertainment. Every new place you would have to complete in-depth research … it was exhausting and a lot of the time it did not work out nearly as planned.

Everything has gotten easier due to the internet, as well as new business platforms like the 3 above. However there is such a long way to go to make traveling streamlined and easy. I was just in northern Vietnam in a town called Sapa a few weeks ago. This is a place that still has very little information on it and is quite remote. Places like this need the travel community information, or you will be stuck overpaying, and not truly enjoying the local culture. The surface has been scratched in regards to technology and travel, and the future is ready for the next innovation = Block chain.

Working from home I have the luxury of free time and crypto currencies intrigued me from the day I found them. I am in the software business so I know how revolutionary the Crypto Currency space truly is. The possibilities of the block chain and the projects that have entered the space are astounding. However the focus I feel has mainly been on marketplaces, finance etc... Obviously these are huge avenues but Travel being such a big element of my life, I searched for the project that will benefit and impact my life the greatest.

Enter Travelchain
A very ambitious project with a hard road ahead of them, but they seem to be focused in all the right areas. With every investment I make I read all the information available and complete a full analysis. Travelchain checked off 8 of 10 boxes in my criteria list, and is in a niche that has no good competition (currently) and has exponential future growth potential.

There are always issues that arise when you travel, so having an educated travel community on one platform, that get rewarded for helping will make the experience of the travel much more enjoyable. This concept of Travelchain allows travelers to be smarter and have more information when visiting areas, as well as allowing local businesses to market to them appropriately.

Searching for gems on an overnight bus

When searching for gems in the hard to reach travel destinations that I travel, I currently rely on blogs, online communities and a few websites that are directed exclusively to travelers. To find amazing food or accommodation you need to search for it. These gems are rarely on the large booking sites and if you don’t have the time to dig, they are unavailable. Travelchain could be this link, allowing most of these services to be in one place. I am extremely excited about this project and look forward to meeting other travelers through it as well!
