Put on your own style kimono and meet a plum blossom in kuribayashi park
Step inside yayoi kusama's red pumpkin to explore the sun and universe
Listen to the story of water drop and wind quietly in the fengdao art museum
Ride a broom to olive park in search of magical love and courage
In xiaodu's grandfather, who guards art, even smile lines are warm
Soy sauce ice cream tells me with its delicacy
Don't reject the "impossible"
This time I came to the fourth seto inland sea international art festival in Japan
On the small islands,
At the festival, held every three years,
I met the sincerity and courage of art.
Japan seto inland sea adjacent to kagawa prefecture takamatsu city, since ancient times, is a transportation fortress. The inherent culture and beauty of the islands at sea has been passed down to this day. The seto inland sea international art festival here has been held every three years since 2010.
Seto inland sea international art festival
The seto inland sea international art festival has been held every three years since 2010. From April to November, there are three seasons, spring, summer and autumn. Each season has a different theme. The theme of spring is "feelings of spring". The theme of summer is "summer gathering", which will be held on July 19, solstice, August 25. The theme of autumn is "autumn extension", which will be extended on September 28, solstice and November 4. 2019 is the fourth year of the games, so if you miss this year, you'll have to wait another three years

Day 1: chestnut grove park
The first stop in Japan is takamatsu city, which has a necessary port by boat to the inland sea. It was already afternoon when I arrived in takamatsu city. I ran to the famous chestnut forest park. Chestnut grove park was built about 500 years ago. It was named because it used to be a large forest of chestnuts.
As a courtyard in the early edo period, the land planning is rich in wood and stone elegance due to the stone trend. Spring, summer, autumn and winter, alternately open the plum, cherry, lotus, camellia, etc., beautiful. Although I have been here three times, I have come across different beautiful scenery each time. Do you feel strange to a big sousu standing under a flower in a kimono like this?
Day two: straight island, feng island
The day after the break, we drove to the island hosting the seto inland sea international art festival. The first stop is naoshima. After getting on the island, I can see the outdoor art on the island. The combination of nature and art, along the way beautiful to the screaming.
What you are seeing now is the famous "I soup" of naoshima. Its external decoration, even the bathtub, bathroom paintings, Mosaic paintings and toilet pottery, all show the spirit and creativity of the artists
See that red pumpkin behind susu? It is a landmark of naoshima and a special work created by renowned Japanese artist yayoi kusama for the first setouchi inland sea art festival in 2010. The red pumpkin, which is the red color of the sun, is said to express yayoi kusama's exploration of the universe through the sun. And the red pumpkin is accessible. Come jump into the red pumpkin and let's look out over the island...
Leaving the red pumpkin, we came to the dizhong art museum, where no photos are allowed for the design and display. But even as an architectural idiot, I saw the beauty of architecture. I don't know, you... Imagine that
I had beef for lunch at the restaurant on the island. It was delicious. Ask just know, originally the cow here grows from snack olive. The restaurant is a seaside restaurant, we eat while enjoying the seaside scenery ~
After the seafood restaurant, we arrive at the toshimi museum, which sits on a hill in the inland seto sea, next to terraced fields and just below the sea. Want to get into an art gallery? ! Yes, but walk around the hill first. In the process, you will see different seaside scenery.
(picture shows the commodity shop next to the art museum)
There is not a single column in the museum. Wind, sound and light are poured directly into the museum from the ceiling. Every moment of breathing in the museum is the perfect combination of nature and architecture. Having said all that, it is still a pity that no pictures can be taken
Can't use video recording, but a lot less distractions. In the quiet place, you will feel extremely awe, awe of art works, awe of the different beauty in life, and awe of the painter every time with different art forms as the carrier, conveyed the sincere ~
In addition to the tokushima art museum, what makes me shocked here is the hengwei museum, which is transformed from a residential house in the village of tokushima. The museum interprets the philosophy of "life and death" in different forms. The highest building also displays more than 3,000 waterfall photos and more than 9,000 different postcards taken by artists around the world.
"Tour notes:
In the museum on the island, you can't take pictures, you can't talk, you can't make such a big noise."
Riding the return journey of the sunset, I met more than 20 cats on the road, they lined up in a row, sunbathing with me, in the afterglow of the sunset, to enjoy the ordinary and real beautiful ~
Day 3: adama island
The third day of our wonderful trip begins with the warmth and beauty of the island
(island artwork: Kenji Yanobe "The Star ANGER ")
Adama is the second largest island in the inland sea of seto, and is also a famous resort. Surrounded by olive trees, the park hides the wizarding world of kiki's delivery service.
Here magic su meets the magic lamp, the magic book, and the White House inside the maid's house. Anyone can borrow a broom from qiqi, the magical girl, and embark on a magical journey. Open the magic door here, is a symbol of hope peace olive tree, with the realization of the magic dream of joy, bring you endless happiness ~
(it is said that people who meet "heart" olive leaves will be lucky.)
Like many people, I have always been warmed by the fairy tales created by Japanese anime. In each story, the sense of faith, love and honesty are the comfort that adults have for themselves in another parallel world, and the firm determination that we carry forward with love and courage.
Farewell to the magical world of sincere beauty, in the island afternoon, we encountered the warmth of the real world.
The warm grandfather I met on the island of adame, who was in charge of a piece of art at the setouchi international art festival (pictured) and whose home was next to it, was the first time I had felt that one could love one's work so much.
(on the island of art - Hisakazu Shimizu, "Regent in Olives")
The walls of his home are filled with introductions and photos of tourists, and he has prepared the same hairstyle for everyone to pose for. Not only did they prepare small gifts for us in advance (tea made from olive leaves), but they also put their own oranges next to the artwork, offering them to visitors for free.
He is familiar with the best Angle of each season of the artwork and guides us carefully. Waving goodbye and waiting for us to go away. He made a point to wait for us before we got to the bus stop (grandpa must have made a detour to wait for us before we got there).
He gave everyone an olive branch of peace and hope. He taught us to weave the "gift of the sun", a landmark on the island of ogata, and waved the olive branch in his hands as we drove away. I think his heart must be very warm, so even the wrinkles on his face are smiling!
Everyone was deeply moved that a person so generous to give happiness to others, heart to treat their own very boring and insignificant work, day by day, year by year! Years took away the youth, but in his face engraved with the traces of happiness, I hope for a long time, the years can also leave traces of happiness in my face, let the wrinkles also smile, but also can insist on doing a small thing, heart to protect their love of career and life, and people can release warmth!
Then we went to the "sauce country" on the island. The soy sauce industry on the island is very developed and ranks first in Japan. It was here that I miraculously ate the "soy sauce" ice cream, which I had expected to be a dark dish, but turned out to be an amazing experience. The taste buds of sweet ice cream and soy sauce tell me -- don't resist the seemingly impossible, it might surprise you more.
Day 4: nakano udon school
On our last day in Japan, we went to the nakano udon school in takamatsu city to learn how to make udon noodles, a type of Japanese pasta that is made from wheat and has specific rules about thickness and length.
According to the legend of kagawa, udon noodles were introduced to Japan during the tang dynasty. Because of the lack of rain in the seto inland sea, it was difficult to grow rice, so udon noodles made from wheat were inherited here and have become the mainstream pasta in Japan today.
Here we and the teacher together, from mixing noodles, rolling noodles to cooking, to learn the authentic zanqi udon noodles. The teacher who tutored us next to us was happier than we were, making childish faces at the camera. Probably do like the work, so it will have such sincere, simple, happy bar.
At the end of our 4-day trip to Japan, we said goodbye with a full heart. This is a travel memory that ranks approximately in my TOP 5.
Because of nature, because of art, because of these days of travel,
Let me see the courage and honesty of the adult world,
This is the fairy tale we weave for ourselves, and the magic of our lives!
