Haha. The Santa Monica boulevarde song popped into my head on about the 3rd paragraph - even before you got to mention it.

I'm not much of a fan of LA but it sounds like you caught the best of it.

    Yeah, can't say it's somewhere I'd want to live or spend any significant amount of time in, bit I'm glad I made it out of the airport finally. It was good to see some stuff and put my feet in the Pacific from the other side.
