The great Eduardo De Filippo,in this comedy "Questi fantasmi", written in 1945, describes how to make coffee using a napolitan coffee maker...

As well as [...] before pouring the water,which has to boil for at least 3 or 4 minutes [...] we must sprinkle a half coffee spoon of freshly ground powder in the inner part of the perforated cap [...] so when it stars flowing, the hot water is directly flavoured...
So...when you come in naples don't ask for a simple coffee but for a neapolitan coffee served in a "CUCCUMA"
