Photoblog - Vajola in Howth, Ireland

Words and photos by me - @condra

Myself and Vajola went up to the top of Howth Hill in Dublin.

It was typically overcast and the climb up was arduous. However the landscape and views up there are stunning. Vajola loves having her photo taken. I'm trying to get her to sign up and start blogging on Steemit!

The hilltop is covered with huge rocks, various heathers, evergreens and copious rhododendrons. I've shot up there so many times, and each time I go back it give me something new. Howth is my favourite place in Dublin. Unfortunately the houses there are upwards of a million euro. I can dream though! Vajola is so relaxed during photoshoots. She loves interacting with the environment and experimenting with poses.

I didn't have my tripod with me so I had to spread my feet over two rocks to get this overhead angle.

The wide angle Nikon 28mm lens was handy here. I've sold it since, and regretted it. Stunning lens. Will have to pick another up some time.

The landscape up there is incredible. It was midweek and there was nobody around. So tranquil.

One last outfit change..

A tunnel of trees..

We finished with some close ups at the rocky ravine on the way back down.

This was 2 hours later and it was getting cold but Vajola was a trooper as always.

Finally, back down to Howth village we went. For hot chocolate, as usual!

Thanks for reading x
