Crypticat Goes on an Adventure

Crypticat was about to go on a grand adventure. We took the cat carrier out from storage and began to pack our things, Crypticat couldn't wait! She was so excited to explore the world beyond the confines of our appartment that she could only dream of the journey which lay ahead.

Crypticat eagerly awaited in her carrier thinking of venturing out into the unknown. This was it, who knew what lay ahead, today was going to be beyond exciting! Adventures are all about doing the extraordinary, setting sail into an unknown world, the best trips are often unplanned.



Planning an adventure is not an easy task, a quick vacation is simple, book your transportation, lodging, a few activities and the rest speaks for itself-an adventure requires more unknowns. The best adventures are always random, the more randomness the better. Something is always going to go wrong whether you plan or not, so instead of wasting time planning spend more time preparing. A common but overused expression is "failing to plan is planning to fail" this isn't true when it comes to adventures. I've been on many trips without booking local transportation, hotels or really anything other than how to get there. Choose a place, go there and wing it, those are the best adventures.

When you step outside of your comfort zone, you'll meet more interesting people and see more unusual things.

The most advertised activities are often the worst. The suggested restaurants are typically the most overpriced and overrated. We've all been to tourist traps before, wasting hours in queue and over-paying just because it was recommended and planned in advanced.

Next time you go on an adventure the only thing you should plan is how to get there. If you over plan, more often than not, you may come home a little disappointed.
