WARNING: The use of images that are not your own on which you claim the ownership will be flagged and/or reported to @steemcleaners - HELPING TO STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT

Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @libork:

Fisherman at Žermanice Dam. It is Saturday so let's leave Prague... The Žermanice dam is built on the Lučina River and has a surface of 2.48 km². In the background, you can see the silhouette of Lysá hora, with 1323 m (some sources mention 1324 m) the highest mountain of Moravian-Silesian Beskids.

Today, we will look again at Prague and specifically on Radnické schody. These stairs connect the streets Ke Hradu and Loretánská. They are about 100 meters long, have 127 steps and overcome a 30 meter elevation. At the bottom there are two Baroque sculptures. The statue of St. Josef with Jesus and left statue of St. Jana Nepomucký

Wow, epic photo. I love night photo's like this... awesome with no people. ;)

Thank you, it is not possible to make such a photo in Prague at night. It is only early in the morning when everyone is asleep.

Fair enough. ;)

Well, we sure do have a cover image for today's contest! That is truly stunning. Thank you so much for your continued support and contribution.

Church of St. Hedvika located on the St. Hedvika Square in Opava. Designed by the renonwed Silesian architect Leopolod Bauer, this church is considered one of the greatest examples of modernist architecture in the city and all Silesia. It was built between 1933 and 1937.

Nice warm colors + interesting architecture!

Jestli to nebude sv. aura ;-)

The translation is good as well as my translations into English.

I was shocked to see your comment in Czech, lol... It is perfect:)

Wow, I had no idea you are fluent in Czech, Wes !:D

hey, i do recognize this one, haha!

Rudolfinium - located in the center of Prague, in the square of Jan Palach. This building of the Prague Philharmonic, built in the middle of the twentieth century in the style of neo-Renaissance. It hosts concerts, competitions, festivals and a variety of exhibitions.

Flaming Gothic

The fiery gothic of Prague can not leave you indifferent. Slender tight lines of medieval architecture take you up to heaven. The chords of Bach's music are exploding and you fly upward. Yuor head turns off and it all catches your breath. You're in heaven ...

That looks cool.

Thank you for the praise!

On this photo you can see why it is called the city of spires! I took this on our very first day in Prague, strolling the vibrant streets with my wife Riana. The trails from the airplanes looked like lasers just after sunset.

Theater in Vinohrady, Náměstí mirů, Vinohrady, Praha
P1080286.JPG
The theater was built in 1907 as a neo-Renaissance building. Just like the National Theater. But here we can see Art Nouveau elements ...
All theaters from 1860 to 1918 are quite similar. Notice the number of exits. At the beginning of this period, it was still lit by candles and it was going to gas and later to electricity. There have been some great theater fires.
Therefore, strict fire regulations have been issued. This look of the building was almost obligatory.

On a hill in the vicinity of Spilberk Castle, in Brno, is one of the most excellent works of art that I have seen, and it is made with steel tubes, and it is the statue of the famous Jan Skácel, outstanding poet , journalist and essayist there was who nicknamed him as the prince of Czech poetry or the poet of silence. For me this country has the best works of art that exist, for its originality.

My love for trains influenced this amazing shot. I intentionally targeted a moving tram at this angle. Half train, half the beautiful view of the prague city. My visit to prague has been an awesome experience which still ring a bell in my ears.
Hello Prague, you are beautiful😊

You love for trams does reflect in the picture. It does look great!

Hluboká nad Vltavou Chateau is a magnificent exterior and the interiors can not be ashamed. The castle offers up to 6 circuits, but only one is open in the spring. The guide was knowledgeable, it was just a bit slower

"Unfinished Gothic Church of Our Lady"

Parapsychologists agree that the energy registered in the temple is at a higher level and therefore recommend to visit people who suffer from depression, hypersensitivity or lack of self-esteem.

Pavilon Marie Terezie.jpg

Pavilion Marie Terezie

Located in Veltrusy, in the Czech Republic, it is an open building of square ground with triads of fluted columns on the corners. It was originally built (between 1811-1813) as a monument to the glory of war.

Prague astronomical clock
The most famous landmark of Prague. I think that all the tourists have a photo of this clock :) Around them there is always a crowd of people)
Prague astronomical clock - a medieval tower clock mounted on the south wall of the tower of the Old Town Hall in the Old Town Square in Prague. They are the third oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest ones that are still working.

St. Vitus Cathedral . At the walls of this cathedral you feel like a grain of sand. The height of its Great Southern Tower is 96.5 meters. And the total height is 97 meters.
The entrance to the Cathedral is free, but it is not always possible to get there, as it closes for the duration of the service and only the parishioners are allowed inside.
For those who like to walk on the stone steps of spiral staircases, there is a rise in 300 steps leading to the observation deck on the bell tower of the cathedral. Since we were very limited in time this time, we decided to put off this pleasure for the next visit))
Through the courtyard of the cathedral, a change of guard passes the step

Prague is a city to visit with good shoes, the city is composed of beautiful buildings built at different times (old town and more recent city). It is built along the Vltava. Many buildings are worth a visit; churches, cathedral, castle, astronomical clock, etc.The music is also very present in the city: many concerts are organized including places of interest.

Ball Games Hall of Prague Castle (Míčovna Pražského hradu)
On the south side of the Royal Gardens, directly above the Stag Moat, you can find the Ball Games Hall of Prague Castle. It was built in the second half of the 17. century and was used as a ball games hall, and later as a riding school and stables. It is an exhibition hall today.

Hi,
This is my very first contest-entry. The communication tower at Praděd, The Jeseníky Mountaines. According to Wikipedia, its top is the highest point in Czech Republic, ~1637 mamsl. There is also an observation post (paid) in the middle of tower. Be aware of huge crowd of trippers, especially when there is azure sky like we had.

Hluboká Castle is one of the most beautiful Czech castles and is therefore also abundantly photographed from different angles. In this competition he has appeared several times. Today I will let you present his picture after dark in the glow of night lighting, which underlines his romantic beauty.

Hi @czechglobalhosts!

My picture was taken last year at Christmas time in Prague, when I was on my short trip in this amazingly beautiful city. Prague was so vibrant and so romantic at Štědrý den:)
Next time will need to have a long stay in this picturesque city, as there are so many places to explore and get positive energy!

A "Botel" is one of the ingenious ways to attract tourists in Prague. It is a floating hotel and restaurant located in a boat on the river Vltava. At the background of the image you can see a tower in the characteristic baroque style.
