Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #63 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

After today´s Asian photo contest, the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on next Sunday.

• Monday: Australia and New Zealand
• Tuseday: Antarctica + the world’s oceans
• Wednesday: Africa
• Thursday: Europe
• Friday: North America
• Saturday: South America

See the winner of the last week´s Asian Sunday @vinceboisgard with the following entry:

At the ending of the day, when the sun is setting and the sky shine of warm colours comes the best time to get the board out. Bali is a nice place to do so and I always loved sitting on the beach watching the show!

Ginkaku-Ji in Autumn - Kyoto, Japan

It may be hard to believe when seeing photos of places like Ginkaku-Ji temple in Kyoto, but after three days in the historic capital of Japan, I was quite sick of visiting Japanese temples. The colourful fall foliage made these temples incredibly photogenic, but the more popular temples were haunted by hordes of tourists.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

I guess this Sunday will be fight between two “Japan” pictures. Beautiful!

The Great Wall
We walked from Jiankou to Mutianyu on the Great Wall. The first part of the hike we walked on an old section of the wall which is closed for mass tourism. The part in this picture has been restored.

Bagan, Myanmar
This is one of the images I took in August on my travel through Myanmar in the province of Bagan. I actually was just riding a motorcylce just shortly before I made a stop to capture this photo :)

Weng yao ji is a popular dish from Taiwan and can be found in many places around the island paritcularly Yilan on the east and the central of the island. Weng yao is an urn shape kiln and ji is chicken, so this dish is a chicken roasted in the urn shape kiln. The chicken is roasted 'standing' up with a dish underneath which catches all the juice when it is roasted. Traditionally the kiln is fired up using wood so it is quite an art to get the cooking spot on. That's what makes the difference between a good and a not so good, or even a bad weng yao ji.

Biei - Hokkaido, Japan

One of my favourite places in the world --
A quiet morning in the blue pond in Biei. The autumn colours serve as a brilliant warm curtain, a deep contrast to the cyan and turquoise mirrors of the water.

It look like painting! Beautiful colors and nature! Great @boilingchill. I do bealive that it’s your favourite place :)

Thank you! and yeah, Hokkaido is such a beautiful island!

We can see Drum Tower throughout China, but we rarely can see Drums like in the one in Beijing. The best part of the visit was the live drum show. The sounds and energy was mesmerizing.

Pileh Bay (Ko Phi Phi Lee, Thailand). It´s a place near Maya Bay - the most famous place in Thainland where movie The Beach with Leonardo di Caprio was filmed. It´s not a photoshop - I have never seen blue lagoon like this. This place is like paradise. I could live here or come here every time and enjoy it. The view is spectacular and great for swimming as well. Soo... Jump!

The colors of Global Village

Egyptian pyramid and Sphinks in Dubai? Why note? In UAE quite everything is possible..
Here is the panoramic view of famous Global Village - the place with many stylized pavilions of the trades from different countries. Quite close to each over you can see Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Big Ben.. and whatever else...
Pretty amazing place to visit

Got on a very colorful sunset. Quite a luck, ehh? :)

Enjoy the scenery!

This is what the Himalayas look like under the snow. Walking can be quite hard and tiring, especially when there is 20cm of snow and the trek becomes very difficult.
But the effort is worth it and all along the way the landscape is spectacular!... Enjoy.
