Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!

Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

See the winner of the last week´s Australian Monday @roadtrips with the following entry:

This man belongs to the Dani people, one of the indigious tribes in the highlands of western New Guinea, also known as West Papua. Both the Indonesian West Papua and Papua New Guinea belong to the continent Australia.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

Sheep farming is a significant industry in New Zealand. There are around 25 million sheep in the country (a count of about 5 per individual). Between 2006 and 2016 the number of sheep reduced from just over 40 million, a drop of around 30 percent.

Wow, that is a quite a significant decline. I did not know that. Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas

The kangaroo's on Stradbroke Island roam free through peoples backyards and on the roads, so you have to look out for them while driving and make sure you don't run one over. Luckily this guy was looking both ways before he crossed the road

LOL, that is quite funny image! Thank you so much.

Waitomo Caves, New Zealand

This photo was taken in the middle of the day and those aren't stars - this shot was actually taken inside a cave in Waitomo, NZ, as a group is preparing to board a boat that floats on an underground river. Uniquely populated by thousands of glow-worms, they light up the surface of the cave giving the illusion that you're outside under a blanket of stars. This was definitely one of @suitcasemama and I's top highlights of the North Island!

I sure had to read your entry to figure out what your image was. That must have been an amazing experience. Have a great day. Tomas

Lambs in New Zealand

In New Zealand, sheep are everywhere! Large areas of land are used for cattle farming and having so much space and great views, it comes to no surprise that New Zealand lamb meat is an export hit.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Great shot. I really want to travel to New Zealand. The landscape is so amazing.

Seems like the sheep and the animals is today's theme:)

Can a picture be more Australian? A weird metal sculpture of a kangaroo chilling on a bench in the city centre of Brisbane. There are a few located in the city. I prefer the real ones but those are nice too.

This is so cool.

That sure is very interesting piece of art. Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas

That beautiful morning light that blankets the outback Australian landscape. It's such a great time to be up and about when your out on the farm as it truly is the best part of the day.

Stradbroke Island Queensland Australia.
North Stradbroke Island, colloquially Straddie or North Straddie, is an island that lies within Moreton Bay in the Australian state of Queensland, 30 kilometres southeast of the capital Brisbane

Magnificent view for sure! Thank you so much and have a great day. Tomas

My best memories from Australia are these well spent evening sitting around a fire right in the middle of nowhere. Random places in the outback where I decided to spend the night and enjoy the twighlight... A lifetime experience :)
