From time to time my job takes me to different places. Earlier this week I headed up to Vancouver with a same day turnaround. Because of the timeframe, I had to leave very early, which provided great conditions for photos.

At about an hour and a half in, I got the most breathtaking view of California’s natural scape -Mt. Shasta.
Cradling every twist and turn down the sides are fresh blankets of the purest snow. With a summit of 4,322 m, that snow is assured to stay around despite the warming temperatures on the ground level.

Fun Fact: it’s a dormant volcano that last erupted in 1786.

Bonus pic: Mt. Shasta verses stratosphere. We really are so small, aren’t we?
