Taken on an early Sunday morning in December of 2005, this pic shows a vintage car owner chatting with security personnel of the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. This was still a time of innocence, before terrorists wreaked havoc on the hotel in November of 2008. Before the barricades and bollards came up. Before security checks for visitors became mandatory – even for those visiting the adjacent Gateway of India. The hotel has healed its wounds, but the barricades remain, as do memories of an age gone by.
