Einar's Dream Log - The River Rapid (Sun, 21 Jan 2018)

I'm in some sort of military training camp, soldiers have lined up and are waiting for their turn to jump into the steep river rapid. I am one of these soldiers and when it's my turn, I jump into the river rapid completely trusting the stream as I'm spontaneously dragged down the narrow river between the rocks of the mountains surrounding it. I feel that I'm very good at this kind of thing - trusting and just going with it. There are some distressed natives in canoes passing by, screaming at us. They look alien. Then I realize, this is a movie set for Luc Besson's new film. I grab a branch and climb on top of a rock, as I see the director talking to an actor, explaining him something. I realize it's not really Luc Besson but a mix of Besson, Guillermo Del Toro and Game of Thrones author George R. R Martin.

I continue climbing on top of this huge tree branch where another soldier has set up camp to take a break. He has made a small bonfire and cooked some food. I see little pieces of meat on a plate right next to him and ask him if I could have one. He hands me the plate and I grab it but then accidentally drop it back on the plate with the other pieces and this irritates the guy because apparently he has OCD and now he doesn't know which piece of meat is the one I touched with my fingers. I point at my piece of meat, tell him it's that one and eat it. But I'm still hungry and when I lift my head to look at him, he has turned into a piece of paper with a drawing on it. It is someone's drawing of a Sith assassin from Star Wars and I realize the soldier has never been there in the first place. So I ask him where he is and he is confused, he doesn't even know that he's been missing. Suddenly, I'm not a soldier anymore but a Jedi who is training outside the academy in this river rapid. I look at the paper and realize that the Sith is my old classmate. Someone has drawn him on a piece of paper in red tint, it's like sorcery. I try to get him to tell me where he is and what happened to him but he is confused, he doesn't understand that I'm talking to a projection of him and he doesn't even seem to know that he has disappeared. He thinks he's still chillin' on that tree, cooking lunch near the academy.

I then notice the director still talking to some more actors down where the river stream is but there is no stream anymore where he is standing. There is a cute young woman with big eyes standing behind the director, looking over his shoulder to whoever he's talking to. She looks like a very loyal and good person but also naive. The director tells an actor "we are not live yet, we're just getting prepared for filming." and that he just wants to show him how it's going to look. He then talks about something going up, something launching that we will be able to see through a window and he keeps saying it's going to be amazing, incredible and uses all these big words. The whole time he's talking, he has his George R. R Martin hat covering half of his face, making him look very mysterious. The director is not holding back with expressing himself and is talking very passionately about what they're about to do. It almost looks like he's summoning something in a ritual. I jump back down into the stream because I want to be part of the movie too, I want to show the director that I have talent.

Here I wake up before going back to sleep

I find myself watching a Star Wars movie that is set somewhere between Episode II and III. I'm thrilled to see actor Hayden Christensen is back, playing Anakin Skywalker. He is standing on some sort of speeder or ship in space that is speeding fast, chasing someone. He's looking up and yelling things at whoever he's chasing, then puts his head down, reading from a script placed on the spaceship's dashboard between every line he delivers. So I'm watching this epic scene unfold in front of me and I'm like cool, Hayden Christensen is back in Star Wars but I'm also kind of disappointed and a little bit worried when I see him reading the script as he's performing that maybe he is sick or something, maybe that's why he hasn't been acting in a lot of movies lately - because he can't memorize lines anymore. This makes me a bit sad. Then, I don't know if this was in the Star Wars movie I was watching or if this was actually happening because I suddenly found myself on a spaceship that was being raided by a bunch of rebels.

Soldiers are running past me to go protect the ship from the rebels that are about to come through an entrance. Among these rebels is a Jedi who is pretending to be a mercenary, hiding his true identity but he gets caught by a Sith apprentice on the ship who is being trained by a Sith Lord controlling the ship. Suddenly, I am that Jedi and I have to fight the Sith Apprentice. I manage to grab his red lightsaber and attach it to my own blue one to create a double-bladed lightsaber and start swining it around, trying to impress or intimidate the Sith Apprentice and his master. It is kind of hard to swing it around and I feel that I'm making a fool out of myself but surprisingly, they are still impressed by my raw skills.

I feel that the Sith Apprentice isn't evil, there is a lot of good in him still and he doesn't want to kill me. I feel in him a sense of admiration and excitement to meet a Jedi. He is scared too, he is holding one of those police riot shields but it looks like it's from the middle ages. He charges me with the shield! I dodge his attack and sort of scratch his back with my double-bladed lightsaber to scare him but not kill him. All of a sudden, the Sith Lord shouts at me for not going all the way and killing the apprentice and this is when I realize that I was the real Sith apprentice and this was all a test.

I wake up. No lucid dreaming this time.
