This is the time in Kerala where most religious festivals happen in full swing. Sacrifices of people, martyrdom are all celebrated. Their bravery is remembered and renewed through rituals. Faith is that strong pillar which makes them carry on those memories consistently, every year. I wish I had that deep rooted faith! And then again, it's great not to be blinded by faith I guess. So what do the unfaithful do in these festivals?!

They enjoy the materialistic part of the festival. The lights, music, symbols, art and wander around looking at them. And another look around makes it clear that the devotees are no different!
