A really interesting thing you noted here and in reference to a post I made last week - I was looking to get some feedback from people who had any kind of experience with alternative forms of education ( Montessori, Steiner/Waldorf, Harkness, etc.), as the regular democratic education system hardly ever results in anything but the child looking for any imaginable excuse to skip school. Further throughout school years people are mostly told that there is only a fixed amount of paths you can take (university, applied education, etc) but the fact that the world and life itself are flowing substances and there hardly ever is "one" right choice, isn't something that is ever explained.
