Are you going to travel to Toledo? Do you know what to visit?

I've been to Toledo twice, and the first time the truth is that I remember little. This second time, of which I am going to talk to you now I left from Madrid, by bus and it took me about 45 minutes to arrive. The Alsa company has buses every 30 minutes from Plaza Elíptica station so there is practically no need to book the ticket in advance.

City of three cultures
The city of Toledo, with a little less than 100,000 inhabitants, is a manageable city on foot, although its long slopes will always have to be taken into account. In addition, it is full of history, not in vain has been baptized as the city of the three cultures. From the old cultural coexistence of Christians, Jews and Muslims there are still many buildings. It is also a city linked to El Greco and his paintings that can be found throughout the city. It is possible to be affirmed that the city is visitable in a day so, without more dilatations I leave you my list of my seven best places of Toledo:

Seven places to see Toledo

1.-Cathedral: The cathedral is the strong point of the city. Spanish citizens can visit it for free, presenting the DNI, on Sundays from two in the afternoon. Its sacristy stands out with the works of El Greco and especially "El Expolio".

2.-Church of Santomé: The visit to this Church is quick, since practically you will only see the famous painting of "El Entierro del Sr. Orgaz", also by El Greco.

3.-Church of San Ildefonso or of the Jesuits: In this Church you can enjoy the city of Toledo from above if you go up to its tower. If you are afraid of heights, like me, it will be a bit more complicated but still, the views are worth it.

4.-Mosque of the Christ of the light: Although the city of Toledo conserves two mosques this is the only one that you can visit since the Mosque of the Turneries is conserved like a simple building not visitable.

5.-Transit Synagogue: If you are interested in Sephardic culture, this is your place. Inside you will find the Sephardic museum.

6.-Puertas de Bisagra or Alfonso VI: If you arrive by bus, it will be with the first thing you will find when entering Toledo next to the city wall. Remember that this door is located near the new, larger and more recently built hinge door.

7.-Plaza de Zacodover: Historically it has acted as the main square of the city, in it you will find, among other things, the tourist office. I recommend you get a map of the city in this office. In this way, it will be much easier to visit everything.
