Ready for boarding...

in travel •  7 years ago

As I am writing this they are calling boarding for our flight to Hong Kong here at Zurich Airport.

We are being the typical tourists and are sipping our starbucks xmas latte

We have made it to the gate and have spent some money in the duty free...

That is a big thing because that means we have gotten through customs and have not forgotten our passports
Since I have my latte, that means I have not forgotten my wallet.

In our hand luggage we have a spare set of clothes as well. Working in tourism for 10 years have tought us a few lessons. So even if (I really hope not though) our one piece of luggage were not to arrive we have cross-packed.

So the month long adventure is about to take off...

This is my 2nd post taking you guys along on our journey. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks, on the plane now

Have a safe trip! I did not know it was your birthday, Happy Birthday! It had been a long time since I had to get anywhere near an airport. All local travel for vacations.

We are getting the long haul out of the way

Have a safe flight and happy birthday.

Thanks, just landed in hkg, now to survive the 9h layover

That's brutal. 9 hours! The longest lay over we had was 8 hours and that was tough enough. We ate something and checked into a hotel on the airport property and managed to get a bit of sleep. It helped. That and the hot shower!

Awesome! I know a friend in Hong Kong right now, his experience looks to be amazing thus far. Enjoy your trip and safe travels fellow gallivanter!
