Closed roads, extreme heats of Death Valley and Las Vegas!

The Journey continues...

After sightseeing in San Francisco we’ve visited Bodie Ghost Town - abandoned town with empty gold mine :)

You can really feel the atmosphere of a gold rush in here.

But some of the building are in a really good shape!

Next we’ve moved towards Big Sur coast and Pfeiffer Beach. Unfortunately the road was closed sooner than we thought and we didn’t reach the viewpoint.

But we did reach the beach :)

Next, going towards Death Valley we are entering the Route 66 where we are stopping by Mother Route 66 Museum.

Next night is quite short for us, because we are deciding to wake up at 1:30 AM to make it on time for a sunrise on Mesquite Dunes.

We are even reaching Badwater Basin so be 86m below sea level!

We wanted to cross the whole valley before 10 am, as after this time it’s very hot, and temperatures are going over 54 degrees centigrade (129 fahrenheit) in the shadows.

We are reaching Las Vegas in the evening and after changing into something more elegant we are going to conquer the City :)

Obligatory photos by the ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign.

Then walk the streets lit up by numerous neons.

And finally we get to enter one of the casinos - Cesar Palace, where we are staying until almost 6am. :D

Little Venice Casino looks like a real Venice! It's incredible!

We are going back to our host Hunter, and after well deserved sleep we are chilling out in a swimming pool.

We even managed to catch 4th of July - The Independence Day in USA and we are watching fireworks for the whole night :)

Unfortunately I don't have any photos from that day :(
