Pakistan is pretty much the same except for Islamabad, the capital, which may prove a little expensive.
Lahore is a metropolitan city which is why it may offer you some ups and down. The same product may vary in prices depending upon the location and the importance of the product.
For example, if you were to buy 1 KG of fresh vegetables for lunch it would most probably vary in price at max 10–20 PKR/KG at a location like Defence Housing Authority and other areas as such where buying power and living standard is high. The same 1 KG may cost you lower in other parts of Lahore. This rule is pretty much the same for whole of Pakistan.
Generally, any kinda of vegetable in Pakistan would cost you 30–200 PKR per KG. Which is why the margin is kept lower.
Now let’s change the product.
Assuming you were to buy shoes. It may differ in prices as per location and outlet. The same shoes may differ in price ranging 100–200 (at minimum) PKR.
Generally, shoes of an average to good quality would cost 700–5000 (at max) PKR.
So, by now I think you might have got a pretty much idea of how it works here.
But your question remains un-answered.
At what time of year is it cheapest to fly to Pakistan (Lahore)?
As you might have noticed from above examples, if you are coming from Western countries, the ups and down might not bother you much because a dollar is worth 104 PKR and it has remained stable at that position. But still if you want to avoid and keep your budget low, do not come when there’s a festivity season such as Ramadan (passed this June), Eid-ul-Fitr (just passed this June), Eid-ul-Adha (due in two months).
Price often spike in those months other than there’s nothing much to mention.
I did not cover Hotels because that you can compare yourself from their respective websites. Hotels, under three stars ranking may not offer Web portals but you should know they cost 2500–7000 (Good quality)PKR.
So, now? it’s time to FLY.
