Share An Interesting Article Found From Flight Attendant Chat Group

Even though I am a flight attendant, sometimes I still feel excited and I quite enjoy when reading the stories shared from other colleagues from different airlines. I read this on Facebook and I am gonna translate it to English. After reading this article, you may laugh about it too.

The Title is: I Don't Understand Why People Become Abnormal When Stepping In The Plane.

Example1:
It's a normal procedure for the staff to check the movie tickets when we get into the theatre and there is nobody doubt and reject to do so in front of the theatre staff. However, passengers always ask us why we need to check their tickets or blame us like ' I know where I sit / Why you guys keep giving me trouble to find my boarding pass...' Of course the attitude is not that nice.

Example 2:
When we are sitting in a moving car, automatically we will fasten the seatbelt and also fasten the seatbelt for the kids. However, passengers have so many excuses to not fasten seatbelt when seatbelt sign is on from captain. There were the parents refused to fasten seatbelt for the baby cause they said the kid will cry crazily when he fastens the seatbelt and even told the crew to 'fuxk off'. Or there were some passenger refused to fasten their seatbelt when going through turbulence. This is what we always hear from them: 'This is my life. It's totally none of your business!'

Example 3:
When we go to convenient store or supermarket, we won't find the staff to open the bottle of drink for you if you can't do it. We will find the way to make it happen by OURSELVES. However, passengers always ask the crews for opening the lid of the bottle of water/ ice-cream covers/ the bag of chips/ toilet doors etc...

Example 4:
When we get on the train or bus, we actually are able to put our luggages to the rack inside the transportation. But when in the plane, situation changes. Some of the passengers will ask you yo put their heavy luggages in the compartment without even trying. For us, we are sorry that we can't do it for you unless you are wheelchair passengers or mother with infant. There was a guy who is taller than me and stronger than me asked me to put his heavy business bag to the compartment and he was just busy with his phone. Something interesting is when we tell them we will offload their bag when it's too heavy to stow it by themselves, the passenger will become super strong and suddenly can carry the bag to compartment in no time! Magic!

Example 5:
That's normal that we order food from the menu that the restaurant order. If not some special cases, we won't ask something extra that something not even mentioned in the menu. So, passengers love to ask something not in the menu like special cocktails/ cup noodles/ wines from first class ... After we tell them sorry we don't have the certain items they want, the question from them will be :' Why don't you have it now?'

I think there must be so crazy and secret energy here so thats why people become so abnormal when in the plane.

yup. I've seen some people treating flight attendants like crap when they are just doing their jobs. Flight attendants are human beings too. Please treat them with respect. Cheers!

The funny thing about we humans is that we can't just be satisfied now matter how we try. I can't say I feel her pain but I know what if feels like for customers to keep complaining about the same thing over and over again as if they do not know it's the normal routine. Thanks for sharing I sure learnt a thing or two ..
