Goldrooster in Spain #12 Pamplona already crazy for the bull run !steemCreated with Sketch.

Dear Steemers,

Today we visited Pamplona just one day for the start of the 9 day crazy fest of San Fermin or better known as the bull run.

During these 9 days - among others - each morning at 8.00 am sharp some 30 bulls are released from a Coral after which they head for the Plaza de Toros and after crazy spanish men and tourists full of testosteron. The same noght the bulls are in the arena where they die in the bullfight.

So here are some pictures of how the Streets look like, where the bulls start, run and end ;what you can buy in the shops, the Plaza de Toros and what else we saw.

Merchandise (bit dirty)

One can say that the whole event is commercialized and broadcasted heavily but in fact the morning run is just 870 meters long and the chance you see something is low unless you have paid for a spot upfront in a house with balcony. The spots along the run are also reserved.

As we do stay in San Sebastian another night we had to drive back 75 km there - after a great comida - where we were welcomed with rain. In Pamplona however - south of the mountainrange - it was dry und sunny! So a good choice.
I told you earlier that staying in Pamplona is too expensive for us during the festival.

bye and hasta mañana.

Poor bulls. 😢 I have a soft spot for animals which is totally hypocritical because I eat animals, but it still makes me sad.

I always root for the bull against the Matador but I almost never get a good result...
