MY PHOTO JOURNEY - Visiting a Cliff Diving Site

Today is 21/05/2018 and I'm gonna share with you a Cliff Diving Site we've visited.

I'm quite scared of jumping in high ground so I didn't jump. I decided to just take photos and be safe for I still have plans in this world.

I captured this photo while we we're on the road to a Cliff Diving site locals have recommended for us to visit. We traveled by motorcycle which is quite fun and lots of air! We only have like 2 days and 1 night in Carabao Island (The name of the Island) so we rushed to see what beautiful places we can find. I have to say, the place is not yet urbanized which is good if you're a nature lover but bad if not because you have to travel like almost 1 hour to reach a tourist site. It's OK if you're travelling in a car but if in motorcycle, then that's a different story.

If you love to be in peace with nature and green mountains, then this tiny island is for you!

After almost an hour in the road, we've finally reached our destination. Hello beautiful sea!

There's a cottage in there. If you're like someone who just love to listen to the music of the sea then this place might be perfect for you. You'll hear nothing but the voice of the people visiting the place and the sound of the water while smashing to the solid rocks. The wide ocean will be like your playground for free! Just keep in mind, ocean is not friendly to those who can't swim. Too bad I'm one of them.

Let's climb the top!

Pretty scary but satisfying experience I must say when you're at the top of the cliff and all you see is the wide ocean and a beautiful tiny flower

Because I'm so scared of jumping in for a swim and dive, I just enjoyed the view of the place, climb on the top and feel the cold breeze down to my spine. I'm quite happy watching the view below from above haha!

With the vast ocean in front of me, I can't help but to wonder what's below there? I'm not much fun of science though it's really interesting. The world is so mysterious to us that we can't tell if a monster is really living in deep or not. Only time will make us realize if fact is indeed stranger than fiction!

Now, Where's the Cliff?

So yeah, we went there to have some fun and experience with nature. I went down to see the cliff. There's just a few bamboo support at the edge of the rocks. If you go to these kind of places and you can't swim, then it's better to hold on tight to whatever you can hold. There's no much people when we got there but I wanna at least feel how it feels to be at the edge of a cliff. I took a photo and here's what I got:

By the looks of it, I can pretty tell that the rocks are sharp. One mistake could leave a fatal wound so I took extra effort of care while we were in there. I'm with my girlfriend and big brother and his family so we don't want any accident happening in the middle of a vacation.

It looks not very high but it's very different when you're in there. It's really high! I asked the local how deep is the water on that cliff diving site. They told me it's like at least 15 feet. I think it's quite deep enough for me not to injure my feet by sharp rocks at the bottom if I jump. The water is very clear as well so you can calculate where you want to land. They said it's OK to jump since there's no much rock below and it's deep but I declined. A beautiful nature photo is enough for me.

Just to double check if it's safe, I looked below to see if there's somehow people in there to watch the tourists visiting the site. They seem to be prepared which is a good thing.

Local divers are in there to assist those who're quite scared of the ocean like what the local said to us. Look at the edges of the rock. They're really sharp! Well, it's no adventure if there's no thrill I guess. I captured these photo from the lowest cliff where you can jump. From there, you can see it's quite high already. I need to take some diving and swimming lessons first before I try these things if I wanna live longer.

The nature is calling me to dive but I resist. I said to myself, "Better be safe, than sorry!".

If ever I would be able to go this place again, I would really try to jump from that cliff. Until then, wish me luck!

Carabao Island is such a paradise. That would be a perfect place to unwind. The jumping thing for me would be scary but the view itself is truly amazing. I hope you had a fun @gvincentjosephm :)

It is indeed!

That looks awesome :)
I would so have jumped :) haha
Peace.

haha! Next time I will!

I am afraid of the high places like the mountains, but I am not afraid of falling into the sea. I am a skilled swimmer
