Searchlight is a very small town in Southern Nevada, made famous by the discovery of gold...of course.
It has a school, a fire department, a park, a store, and a casino named Terribles. ..lol. It is the firsr little casino I've been in that didnt print tickets, you get paid out by the bartender!

In its boom days, Searchlight attracted the biggest stars and featured regular shows, rodeos, competitions, and even mining contests!
Back in high school there was a student who lived out there and would commute into Las Vegas for school every day. I always thought that was wild.
It is a cool little town for sure! I wonder how bustling it was back in the 30's. It's probably hard to imagine there being many more people there than now haha. Resteemed! Showing that Nevada love <3
