Travel the South Coast of South Africa

Lucky me.... I live on the South Coast of South Africa.
I lived in Southbroom for about a year and a half.

Just off the South coast of KwaZulu Natal you will find Southbroom Beach one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches around. The natural vegetation surrounding the beach makes this location extremely scenic together with the pristine sands and the inviting, warm Indian Ocean water, you couldn’t find a better place to spend the day.

Lifeguards are on duty ensuring your safety when you jump the swells and splash in the sea. The Imbezane Lagoon here makes for a great place to paddle around in your canoe and is a bit safer for the kids to swim in. Surfers love this area and are often seen catching the waves. Southbroom Beach is a must visit and is enjoyed by locals and holidaymakers alike.

Beautiful photos.

What kind of temperature and weather is it like there?

We have wonderful weather all year round. We swim summer and winter. In the summer the minimum temperature is about 22 degrees and max temp is about 29 degrees but feels very hot because of the high humidity. Wintertime just a few degrees lower. Minimum about 17 degrees and max around 24 degrees. It is winter here now and we are going to the beach tomorrow after church. I need at least 2 hours of sun tanning :-). It is nice to tan in winter as the sun is not so hot and you do not get burnt so easily as in summer. It is a summer rainfall region and we get lots of rain during the summer. The weather and the vegetation is sub-tropical. A week ago we had more than 300mm rain over 4 days.

Amazing beaches that side as well, haven't been there yet, but will tell my wife that we should definitely go over to explore !

Yes, you must come, you will enjoy it, and also see the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape. Will put on some posts on the beaches etc.
