This day was a perfect mix of beauty and adventure. I let the pictures try to show the beauty of these three turquoise lakes and the snowy mountains around, and may be you would also like to have this experience. Enjoy!
Lower Lake
Diving into the Middle Lake...and going out after 30 secs. because the water was too cold :-)
So many people wanted to have a picture in that spot that there was a line. Some of them fell into the cold waters while posing for photos :-)
After a short walk we found waterfalls coming from the Upper Lake.
Upper Lake is fed directly by the glacier. The rock sediment from the mountain, called slit, gives the water this special color.
We continued walking up the mountain to arrive to the camping area on the other side of the lake.
Then, we decided to go even higher to get a different viewpoint and be closer to the Matier Glacier. We had to cross/jump many water sources that come down the mountain.
At the end of the day we headed back to Vancouver along the scenic highway!
