Tea Garden Sidamanik offers the most beautiful natural attractions in the city of Pematang Siantar. This one place also provides facilities for travelers who want to take a leisurely stroll while feeling the coolness of the plateau in Pematang Siantar. Moreover, around this tea garden there are also some other interesting natural tourist destinations.
This tea garden is actually not a tourist area. This plantation is part of tea plantation owned by PTPN IV. The tea garden owned by PTPN IV actually has the name of Kebun Bah Bah Butong Garden. It's just because the location is in District Sidamanik, so not many who call it by the name of Tea Garden Sidamanik.
This Sidamanik Tea Garden is located in Sidamanik Subdistrict which is about 26 kilometers from downtown Pematang Siantar. If you go to this place from Medan, then the mileage that must be passed approximately 155 kilometers. Far enough if you go to this place from the city of Medan. The journey so far takes about 3 to 4 hours.
Although this place is not as famous as Lake Toba, but the infrastructure to the location of this one tour was quite good. The traveler can reach this place by public or private vehicle. In addition, if you want a more challenging journey, there are also off-road path that can be selected.
As mentioned above, the original name of this tea garden is not the Tea Garden of Sidamanik. Instead of Bah Butang Tea Garden. Even so, the surrounding community also many who call this place with the name of Tea Garden Sidamanik. This tea plantation is located at an altitude of 890 meters above sea level. So do not be surprised if those who come here can feel cool in the highlands of Sidamanik.
Tea produced from Bah Butan Tea Garden is also known as one of quality tea from North Sumatra. Even the results of this tea plantation has been exported to many countries. Among these are countries in the Middle East (Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Syria), Europe (Germany, Italy, Holland, Spain, Paris, UK) or neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Singapore.
