Although this afternoon is somewhat gloomy with grey and dark clouds, it has not rain like the last couple of day. The temperature is so nice and cool so I thought to tour my neighborhood and snap some photo to share with all you Steemian.

Location: Kaimuki Town is located in Honolulu, HI. On the island of Oahu.

There are three parts to my walking journey about this town very near to my home. The first part is focused on fruit trees I discovered along the way. The second part is of different cactuses I found along the Kapiolani Community College (KCC). And the third is a continue of my walk along Diamond Head Crater towards the beach.

Although each part has its own theme, I think you could appreciate and enjoy all three. Here’s my journey in Kaimuki town, admiring different fruit trees...

Please noticed the gloomy weather but still a nice view of Diamond Head Crater....

As I walked along the road I spotted a papaya tree packed with fruits! Wow! Why hadn’t they picked the ripe ones?! I totally would!

As I was standing there admiring that papaya tree a lady said, “HI!!!” from behind a window screen. I gave a loud yelp!! She laughed out loud and then apologized for scaring me. She later explained that the owner of that house passed away leaving a daughter married to a police officer...

Long story short, I thanked here and walked on. Here!!! Here is where I spot a beautiful Hawaiian orange tree busting out with fruits. Hawaiian oranges are hardly the same size, but with very thin outer skin yet full of juicy goodness. Even when ripe it has a color of greenish yellow with some spots. I know, very unusual..

And!!! Not too far from the oranges is a tangerine tree. It looks so ripe and delicious but I have to refrain from picking without permission. This is a very popular fruit in Asia. Ok, continue on...

This coconut tree doesn’t look very healthy but it is full of coconut. I’d wait for the green ones to grow much bigger....

Here is a somewhat idea of where this Kaimuki town looks like if you wish to google map...

And there you have it of some of my favorite fruit trees along Kaimuki town. Follow me onto Part 2 as I venture down from Kaimuki onto Kapiolani Community College full of beautiful cactus!

And as always, until we meet again, have a wonderful day.

Aloha!
