Tonight I watched a practice night for the Little Crow Water Ski Team of New London, Minnesota. It's still early in the season, and they were mostly working on a run-through for their weekly shows.
Active since 1979, this show team has been competing regionally and nationally for quite a while. Back when I lived in the area, they won the nationals. Members of the team perform ski jumps from a 6-foot-tall ramp, ski barefoot, dance using swivel skis, form pyramids up to five tiers tall, and perform various other stunts.
If you're in the area between June and August, check out the Friday shows or the practice sessions on other days!
cool stuff
